Taken 2 Retains Box Office Crown
“Taken 2″ remained at the top of the box office this weekend, bringing in an impressive $22.5 million haul in its second go around. The weekend haul brought the film’s total to $86.8 million domestically. The movie has brought in $132.8 million internationally. “Taken 2″ stars Liam Neeson as an ex-CIA agent.
Following closely behind at the number two spot was “Argo”, which is based on the Iran hostage crisis. The film was directed by Ben Afleck, who also acted in the movie. “Argo” brought in $20.1 million in its opening week, and is already generating Oscar buzz.
