Murder In Satsuma

Posted by David Merrell On September - 18 - 2012

An argument gone to far has led to a murder in Satsuma. The incident happened at the Steele Creek Mobile Home Park on Bayou Avenue in the early hours of Monday morning. Sixteen year old Bryan Robbins got into an argument with twenty-three year old Yvain Lambert outside of a woman’s trailer sometime after midnight. The two were arguing over a woman, and the fight escalated, leading to Robbins fatally shooting Lambert.

Robbins accidentally shot himself in the hand while shooting Lambert. He quickly sped away in a car. Robbins had to go to the hospital over his injuries, and that is where he was arrested. He is now charged with murder.

Robbins is from Saraland, but residents of the trailer park told Local 15 News that ever since he began hanging out in the area, there has been an increase in car traffic to the trailer park. Many residents are now worried for their safety.

Murder is a rare incident in Satsuma. The last to occur was in August of 2010. Crime has been a prevalent topic of late, with a spate of car burglaries also occurring last week. Even small, quiet towns like Satsuma can not completely escape the criminal elements that poison our society.
