Murder Conviction of Satsuma Teen Overturned

Posted by David Merrell On April - 19 - 2011

In October 2008 seventeen year old Cory Landrum was shot while driving through Alabama Village in Prichard. The motive of the shooting was believed to be robbery. Jarvis Williams was tried and convicted of the murder. He pleaded not guilty but was given a life sentence after two other defendants in the robbery trial testified against him.

The Alabama Supreme court has now overturned the conviction. Supposedly there was not enough evidence outside of the co-defendants testimony. Williams is still currently in prison but should be released in the next few days. The co-defendants are also still in prison.
