Donations Needed For Local Fire Fighter

Posted by David Merrell On September - 27 - 2012

Fire Fighters are tasked with stepping into dangerous situations day in and day out. They put their lives on the line to protect people and their property. Now, one of Satsuma’s Fire Fighters could use some help. Satsuma Fire Fighter Kenny Fike’s newborn son recently underwent open heart surgery. The family has been at UAB for the past two weeks for the procedure and recovery. Their child is improving, but Kenny has lost of lot of work time to be with his family during this trying time.

Donations can be made through the Satsuma Fire Department. They can be dropped off or mailed. The mailing address is: Satsuma Fire Dept. 5668 Second Street Satsuma, AL 36572. To make sure the money goes towards the Fike family, label the donation: Attn: Fike Family. Any donation, no matter how small, will go a long ways towards helping this family.
